Midweek Monsters: Ogres

These ogres were drawn for printing and use as cheap miniatures, so we could try out a ruleset for fantasy wargaming (OnePageRulesAge of Fantasy: Regiments). They were fun to draw, but drawing muscular mostly-naked figures hammered home how little anatomy I actually know. Also, I don’t really know how to get the fat-muscular look when drawing, which would be useful here.

Top: Warrior, Sergeant, Musician. Bottom: Champion, Hunter, Yeti. Right end: Standard-Bearer.

Inktober ’20: Week 3

Rodent:

Inspired by a half-remembered line about rats “gnawing at the roots of the world” (possibly derived from Warhammer’s Horned Rat).

Teeth:

Dental hygiene is worthwhile whatever your diet.

(Two for this prompt as I realised the first one was a bit derivative – I think I’ve seen a similar picture somewhere else.)

Also I’ve gone in the wrong order… done two for “teeth” and skipped “fancy”. D’oh.

Inktober ’20: Week 2

Bulky:

A colleague from a previous place of work/study was a weightlifter, and capable of lifting 200kg above his head or something absurd like that. He was popular with friends and coworkers whenever they had to move house – he could carry washing machines and some fridges downstairs on his own.

Radio:

Many years ago I occasionally listed to some Christian music program on a local station, and I remember being struck by the contrast when the program ended and secular pop/rock came back on: the secular music was better, but unhappier, with a kind of void in its soul. The Christian stuff was quite good, but not as good, and it was… happy. Peaceful.
